Now you can set up a new wireless network with NetSpot using just one router that you can carry around the planned space! Or you can use several access points to plan a network perfectly – up to you. When you start a new survey, place your access point in a designated spot, take several samples, reposition the AP and repeat with a new location. Once you are done with the whole space, you can merge your survey snapshots and have the whole picture of your future network as if you were measuring it with multiple access points.
The new release also includes some of the freshest fixes for the issues kindly reported by our users.

Mac users, rejoice! With the Mac app NetSpot, you can easily avoid WiFi dead zones. The app, launched earlier this year for OS X, scans nearby WiFi networks revealing signal strengths, security types, channel information, and more as soon as you launch it. NetSpot is a software tool for wireless network assessment, scanning, and surveys, analyzing Wi-Fi coverage and performance. It runs on Mac OS X 10.6+ and Windows 7-8-10 and supports 802.11n, 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g wireless networks. NetSpot for Mac is a native wireless information application for your Mac. It only takes a couple of clicks to load your plan and begin a network site survey. All you need to do is point to where you are on the map and NetSpot will begin measuring wireless signals immediately, then move around and collect Wi-Fi data.

We’re glad to announce a fresh minor update of NetSpot, v. 2.11. The release adds support for macOS Catalina for Mac users, has some improvements and performance enhancements for both macOS and Windows.
